A trilogy ring is a ring which features 3 separate stones set along a band. These stones can be diamond, gemstones or a combination of both. The stones can either be all the same size or, more commonly, the center stone can be larger, set higher than the two other stones, which are identical.
The great thing about trilogy engagement rings is the freedom it gives the wearer to combine different diamond cuts to get the most sparkle for their money. A brilliant cut centre diamond with two smaller pear cut diamonds help bring attention to the larger centre diamond, elongating the finger and enhancing the elegance of the wearer's hand.
